About Us

All Nations Christian Mental Health Association (ANCMHA) is dedicated to helping Churches, Christian Communities and Individuals develop an awareness of what leads to good mental health. Good mental health is about the whole person; their psychological, physical, emotional and spiritual needs.

The Bible is the inspired Word of God and holds key principals that lead to a healthy life in every area. ANCMHA is run by volunteers, and funded by donations.

While people often know a lot about physical health problems, there can be a lack of knowledge surrounding mental health.

Mental health problems are common, all members of the community can expect to have close contact with a friend, family member or colleague experiencing a mental health problem at some point. Lack of awareness and attitudes about mental illness so often prevents people developing a mental illness from seeking help early. Early intervention reduces the impacts and long term effects of having a mental illness, just like early detection and treatment for a physical illness reduces the risk of harm and leads to higher recovery rates.

We aim to provide evidence based information that will assist the Christian Community in being able to recognise and respond to individuals living with mental illness, or developing a mental health problem. We also hope to increase the general knowledge of Christians in understanding keys that lead to improved mental health and wellbeing.
